What is the YSEALI Academy?
YSEALI is partnering with Fulbright University Vietnam (FUV) in Ho Chi Minh City on the YSEALI Academy at FUV. The YSEALI Academy at FUV offers executive-level seminars for entry to mid-level professionals around the themes of technology/innovation, public policy, and entrepreneurship. Participation will be open to applicants who are citizens and residents of: Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste or Vietnam who are:
- between the ages of 25-35 (YSEALI alumni status is not required) OR
- between the ages of 36-40 (YSEALI alumni status is required)
In 2021, the YSEALI Academy at FUV will offer three flagship seminars addressing challenging issues facing the region such as energy economics and policy, contemporary cybersecurity challenges and opportunities, and fundamentals of startup investing in Southeast Asia.
All seminars will be in English and participation will be fully-funded.

Public Policy seminar on Energy Economics and Policy
Virtual, full-time July 5- July 16
The aim of the virtual two-week Public Policy seminar on Energy Economics and Policy is to provide training on mainstream and emerging energy technologies in Southeast Asia, and key macroeconomic and policy tools for analyzing and impacting these trends. Through the course, Fellows can understand and apply basic economic frameworks and policy tools to addressing energy issues. The seminar combines theoretical and experiential learning and includes high-impact practical experiences relating to maximize the engagement of participants.
